I need to top up the oil in my TVR V8 240z for a track day on Friday. I spoke to Wyn (900SS, the car's creator) who said that although he doesn't remember the weight of the oil, he does remember it was semi-synthetic.
Is it a bad idea if I'm going to put 10w40 in the engine when it could be 0w40 or 20w50 already in there. Obviously I will be putting semi-synth in.
I am looking to change the oil afterwards but don't have the time to do so beforehand. Unless I work into the night!
