Lowering a 260z 2+2

Our springs are normally silver or white paint marked. I've asked why these were not - I suspect that staff on the production side are not being scrupulous with orders judging by the boss' demeanor when I discussed it with him yesterday.
I should get confirmation on lengths and number of coils soon, but as always, Easter will get in the way!

Hi Andrew

What was the outcome of the spring issue's?

I want to change mine, hopefully sometime this summer, but i cant find any definitive
answer as to what does and doesnt work/look right straight out the box for a 2+2!
I just want to lower a little to improve looks but maintain a half decent ride.

Any pics of your car so i can see visually how it compares to mine?

Thanks, Anthony :)

Why don't you just get what you want made to order, will work out not that much cheaper (if any)? Easy to do

I plan to, the point is i dont know what to order as no one seems to know for sure what spring length reduction and spring rate increase works and looks ok

Someone thats already been there, done that, must have the info somewhere with a pic of said car for reference.

Mine seems to sit very high at the back, ive no idea if thats standard or not, again no one seems to know. If i order what i think is right they may just end up being the same, to high or low:rofl:

This has been bugging me for years, thread after thread on different forums never seems to come to any definitive solution for a 2+2, and now im in a position to get it sorted, im still none the wiser as to what spec i need!
I can take the springs off the car to get the uncompressed length as a starting point, but it means im still guessing if i dont know if there standard or not and what spring rate they are.

I f you want to work from the baseline of your existing springs then my spring manufacturers can do all the measurements on them and produce a custom set to achieve your requirements. The only extra cost will be carriage of two springs to them.
We hold a pattern for 260Z 2+2 and have produced from that in the past...
Call me!
