Or a muddy, windy field.

Stand location already organised earlier this year - I await final confirmation before producing an access plan.;)

That was no reflection on you Sean, just typical of the way the classic car fraternity in general view our marque....!!

Over here if you turn up in an MGBGT, are of a particular age, a preference for beige corduroy pants and body odour you are embraced into the 'club' and your car parked in pride of place with 27 others all the same.

PS the books arrived in London ;)

Never took it as such and having organised Japanese car show stands since 1989, nothing surprises me still.

I was interviewed over the PA system back on our club stand (photo top right) at the 1989 Stowe School Int Healey weekend and put them in their place......

But we've been in the same area for the past 6yrs which was pretty stable and providing easy midway access between the campsite and the village. We just got bigger and they pushed us further along to enjoy more space. Unfortunately, we aint good enough to be on the north side of the slip road, in the shade and away from the bins....but we got more attention.

Thanks.

Yes Sean - I will be there. Usual plans so will need the club stand pass tickets if that's ok ? Thanks. As usual it will be the most interesting stand no doubt. Even though I did find one of my previous cars on a stand not too far from you last time, it didn't allow that stand to take top slot IMHO !

I'm half interested to go again ( been in 2008 and 2010 ). However the camping bit is a pain but I love being in the circuit so I can spectate easily and anytime. Would it be frowned upon if I turned up in my Xtrail and slept in it? From memory there is very little catering too.

Also in previous times the toilet/shower facilities were poor. Any improvement.

I have done my share of camping/hiking and fancy an easier life these days. I've had two VW camper vans and wish I still had one tbh.

Toilets and showers were fine - things have improved.

Come in a Mini Rob.....just don't expect it or the X-Trail on the stand and a bit of a shame not to bring the Z - half the fun is the voyage there and abck in your beauty (or is it beast ?) !

You probably still get some Dorris doing her washing up next to you while having a shave or you are in the toilet block, the facilities as Sean says should be better,it's better than digging a whole, all part of the fun
