This might be important so take note. For those that are going to France ie Le Mans classic ect you might need an emissions sticker thus to avoid a sixty quid fine. The bloody frogs are trying to get us again so check wot route you are taking in the rac website,it’s not all of Froggy land but probably will expand by next year

No-one's going to stop and fine you because you're driving a classic car. It is especially directed at older, more polluating ordinary cars.

The other piece of idiot law repeated by the RAC is the obligation to carry up to date breathalyzer tests. This is no longer valid law so forget it.

The RAC merely wants you to buy their 'kit' for £20.

If you want a dodgy law, when you lane change on a m-way, use the indicators - I had a mate stopped and fined because he didn't and the cops weren't far behind.

We’d be two adults with paddock and grandstand seats. Not sure what the deal is for a 3 yr old as she’ll be come then?

Parking also (I’m not allowed to put the toddler in the boot so unless I find a cheap 260+2 I’ll be in a family saloon!).

I think that’s it.....

I've booked you a parking place in Parking rouge (just the other side of the Dunlop bridge to our stand.

Which Grandstand seats do you want Rob ?

Tony - are you coming or not please ? If so, please tell me what tickets you need.

It’s not aimed at classic cars Sean baby just a law in about 4-5 French towns/cities so like you say shouldn’t effect any of us unless they are over there for longer and plan on driving through certain towns,it’s on the gov web so must be some truth in it,question, when I’m overtaking I notice the French drivers keep their indicator on whilst still overtaking, any reason for this

...question,when I’m overtaking I notice the French drivers keep their indicator on whilst still overtaking, any reason for this

'cos some idiot told them to indicate when overtaking.

Mirror
Signal
Maneuver

and then the same to return to your original lane.

Nothing about signalling whilst overtaking.

My pet-hate is watching them signal left at a roundabout to go straight ahead.....:cuss:

I have just validated the order (entrances, track and camping sessions) and invite you to contact me to pay your tickets please.

Procedure:

1) You confirm me your order.
2) I confirm your tickets ordered, tell you the amount and how to pay*.
3) You pay them and I confirm receipt of the money.
4) Tickets will be sent* in late May / mid-June via the post.

Until April, anyone can reserve places but be aware that the track sessions and grandstand places are likely to be full !

*£5 postage will be applied for each order that helps us to recover our costs/fees etc that we have to pay upon the whole order.

So far from the UK, I have :

The French often put their right indicator on if someone is hogging the outside lane and they want to get by, maybe slightly more polite and less confrontational than full beam flash. Maybe that was what happenned to you Status as you were not paying full attention whilst adjusting your wig and putting on your lipstick ?

Culture,is that wot you call it and currency exchange not really bothered mate and if you ask the average person wot they think about a lot of things we’ve had forced on us or told it’s correct or not ,if they had the balls to say wot they really think there would be a few upset people out there but we will soon be with the rest of the world ,they don’t need Europe do they,Europe needs us more than we need them, just think wot we did have and wot we havnt got now when it comes to industry and the culture bit, couldn’t really give a Shyte ,I suppose I’ll have to pay you some dosh soon and I’m not going to get a good exchange rate am I ,it’s only money so send me the bill

Well I just tried to book the overnight ferry from Portsmouth to Caen or Le Havre on the Wednesday night but no room at the inn, all cabins sold out, goddamn corporate event travel companies block booked everything already

So looks like it will be Poole to Cherbourg early on the Thursday morning with a nice three hour run to the Chateau campsite.

There's still space on the Hull to Zebrugge ferry if you've a spare £500 for the trip? :)
