JDM fender mirrors - Japan. Yahoo Auctions Japan (via a proxy bidding service like Buyee, BidJDM,etc.). They also sometimes come up on eBay US and UK - chrome only though as the original black are hard to get. Get some chrome, scuff-sand, and respray.

Bumpers - stainless steel repros can be had from eBay or here: http://www.groupharrington.com/en/part/36/datsun-240z-and-260z-bumpers.html

For cheaper originals, someone in the club might be able to help out. (I'd buy the stainless ones tbh)

Front valance and arch flares - talk to Mr. F on the forum (Mike Feeney, MJP Eastern Auto)

Hope that helps.

Of course that helps  thanks!

not decided on the wheels yet... but obviously the watanabe or something similar is on the list

engine is staying standard, I like it as is... although I may be tempted by some webbers :smash:

RE: mirrors, chrome set:

Black set:

Either way, the real deal ain't cheap! But they are real and work great IMO. Better than the door mirrors.

Cheap option often seen in use:

Thanks... I like the chrome ones (but want black in colour - can easily be changed).

Dont mind the cheap ones......... hmmmm

also liking what I see at:-

You talking in general or about MSA's bullet mirrors? The MSA ones are door mirrors only - they will look all kinds of wrong in a wing-mounted position as the bases will be too short.

Worth noting that the fender mirrors have specific locations for mounting and are differently located on each side of the car to maintain correct visibility from the driving position. There's a diagram knocking around the internet somewhere with the measurements.

Ah, found it:

Worth noting that Mr. F acts as a UK agent for MSA. Some of their stuff will be in stock with him and he also places bulk orders every so often.

Ah, found it:

That's the ZG-specific diagram that I made some years ago, and posted on the HybridZ forum. Lots of people have misinterpreted it over the years, and there's also a transposed version knocking around for LHD applications (not made by me, but using my diagram and measurements). Be mindful that Nissan Shatai pressed the holes into the front wings for the mirror mountings in several different locations over the years. There's still some debate in Japan about where the optimum location measurements actually are. So be careful how you measure and where you mount them...

The S30-series Z was never fitted with the chrome version of the classic fender mirrors, and most of the chrome ones being sold today were actually designed to be used on the C10-series Skyline or the 510-series Bluebird. They have shorter stalks and don't function as well as the S30-specific items. Something to bear in mind.

I remember you'd posted it on the US forums - I have a paper copy knocking around in the garage that served as the reference for when my car had the mirrors fitted during its rebuild. Interesting that they moved around a bit too...

RE: the chrome fender mirrors, I'd wondered whether they differed in dimensions given that they were from other models. Definitely something to bear in mind. The chrome ones seem to crop up on lots of S30s I assume due to the scarcity of the black originals.

wish it still had them!

I have a set of 45 DCOE webers. Probably available for sale in the new year once I get a manifold .
I have 3 rebuild kits for them and all the bolts etc have been replated ready to build up.
