 Interesting discussion. Leave it alone then frankly.

Had a look at my cars today re tank-strap attachment welds.

Original car: very obvious and visible when looking up behind bumper (quite ugly really) but that's how it's going to stay.

Blue car:

No sign of them, looks neater but is filler an improvement?

Looks superb, you must be very pleased.

Looking back through this thread, it's a shame some of the pics look to have been removed and so can't be seen, I'll have to take your word for it on the floors! All the ones from the very start are gone as well ...

Good work in the lower corners!

Thanks, I think it was worth the extra work to pull out the some of the detail. There's a few 'ripples' or slight indentations around the spot welds, I'm guessing these are original, just that someone in America decided to fill it all in to smooth it over?

Just to add, I am very pleased, there's a couple of little bits where I think it'll go back for a couple of days once built but it looks great to me, colour is just what I wanted, looks yellow in direct sun almost, deep and dull in shadows.

Does anyone know if there's a guide to what size screws/bolts/nuts go where? The painter still has my factory body manual.

The want list so far....

both front air guides.
Matched lock set.

Whats the best spray glue people have used for the interior?
Also, the best jute type material to use?
