Hi 280zx after 25 years

Hi,
I finally have my 280zx after 25 long years of waiting :) We bought her on a complete whim a few weeks ago, ignoring any common sense for once, a definite decision of the heart :D She's a 1982 targa 2+2 and we love every bit of her, even her leaky brake calliper. Our local mechanic, who has some experience of 240z's, is impressed with her also..........just hope he doesn't get to meet her too often  Our hope is to keep her for the rest of her life and deal with anything she throws at us when finances permit........starting with brake calliper :)
Our mechanical knowledge is poor to say the least  but we wish to learn what we can and hope you fellow owners will be kind enough to help us on our journey.

Good to live off impulses from the heart sometimes!!

I am paying for storage for two Zs in NZ right now. It makes no financial sense whatsoever! Hope to bring them over sometime soon!

Post pics in your gallery!

Hi, thank you for the welcomes.
Niroshann, that's true love to say the least :) I think I'd be more tempted to move MYSELF to New Zealand.
Candy Red, thank you for advice......Mr F's website is now bookmarked.
We have had the brake caliper remanufactured locally, fingers crossed the job is as good as it looks. We've taken her out a few times (even with the targas off :) ) and my husband (the driver) now understands my enthusiasm and her ability to head turn.
Our trips out have never been dull.....2nd time with targas off (subtly posing) the headlining came down on us. Then on our last trip the volt meter began a slow drop, which rapidly bought back fond memories of our 924 :-/ We have tightened the loose alternator belt, which seems to have done the trick but we will be getting a multimeter (our first bit of kit) to check the alternator, are drop tests done with these also lol?. Will also need a new belt, can Mr F help with that?
Going to try and upload some pics now......might be a while as never done it before :)
