Hello there

My names Allan and im basically a newbie to the Japanese scene, well kind of.
Many moons ago i owned a Honda Accord 2 litre twin Cam and it was awesome.

Since then i have had many cars but up until recently i have owned Vauxhalls. I have just broke my Cavalier Turbo due to rot and im just about to finish building my other halfs 300bhp Cavalier Turbo 4x4.
Due to never being able to replace my old Cavalier i have decided its time for a change and quite fancy a 300ZX V6 Twin Turbo. Basically i might be getting one in the near furture so i thought i would join up to see what things i need to look out for and hopefully get some much needed advice from yourselves

Thanks again and i will surely speak to you all soon

Allan

Hi Allan
Thought I recognised your user ID from VXON. Mine is RatCav over there. Things I would start to look out for are rot on the arches (much akin to the cavvy) and general wear and tear. Engine wise the main thing from recollection is the turbo's. They can fail if not looked after and the one which shiraff is selling looks to be ok in that respect, but don't quote me as I have not seen them in person or seen paperwork. Have a look at the Z32 section and see the discussions and you should get a better idea.

Cheers
Neal

Hello!

Love Z32s, I'm on my second now. I don't think you'll regret it! Just came back from my mates in mine and I'm running about 13psi now and it's just too much already lol, can't wait to see 15psi and more :D The engine bay is tight, but I find the car nice to work on, they're pretty well put together.

See if you can get yourself a later one if you can, my first was a 93 K and it had a few nicer bits and improvements. I'd also say go for an import (both mine were) as they tend to be cleaner underneath. Targas are nice in the sun and for having a full on Z experience, lwb as well for full on. Swb handle better, but to me because they're easier to go fast in it's less of piloting the car experience :)

Whatever you buy so long as it's not a really bad one you'll love it
