Fuel prices

I am working in Oman at the moment and just filled my hire car up with petrol and had a big shock when I went to pay. 42litres of fuel cost me 4.2 rials. Thats about £6, and they are all moaning it just gone up. Its going to be painfull when I get back to the UK. And before anyone asks....no I can't bring any back. Thats not the only thing thats cheap.....a 3 cource meal with drink in a local cafe type place will set you back 1 rial (£1.30), and you can buy a £24,000 Scooby for 12,000rials (£17,000). Even thinking about staying.

I wondered where you had disappeared to, John! How long are you soaking up the heat for?

I will probably be finished in about a week. Its not too hot out here at the moment, its was around 35 yesterday. This is their winter cool period.
