I'm sure that at £28k it's still making a profit....which implies JD are simply immoral 'have a gos' !

What are you trying to say Sean ?

Is FFA not worth 150k ?

Is Big Sam not worth 250k with a blown engine ?

Simple mathematics mate :£49k - £28k = £21k profit for what exactly ? Unless it's to help pay for Big Sam's engine:D !

Nobody mentioned those two Sams and I'm certainly not disputing their 'value' - to be decided upon the day of selling rather then their 'blue-book' figure - it might be more now!

Go eat your cornflakes and stop trying to pick a fight:thumbs::cool:

Was it in the same condition as it is now Chris? or have they since restored it?

I imagine pretty much the same condition, original well patina'd paint but had minor bubbling rust on doglegs which they may have attended to and blown over ? It is being sold on it's originality rather than a restored car.

It is a nice car. I paid a ridiculous amount of money to put it back on wheel trims ( in the States they really prize those and big dollars ) as it had nasty cheap alloys on it when purchased.

The old boy I bought it from was well into his 80's and used to fly out of Warner Robbins AFB - came out of Georgia, not California.

It's definitely worth £ 20k in today's market, how much over that figure..... depends on the tint of your rose coloured specs ?

Sure I have seen mention that the engine isn't original either? What kinda condition are the other bits in - interior, engine bay etc - close up I mean (the value is in the detail on a car like this surely, that is supposed to be oh, so original)
