Not techinically an error, more of an omission:rolleyes::eek:....and a left-over effect of the previous discussion elsewhere of Sean's vs. Seans'.....over which I conceeded a complete defeat.

Hi,

I see that in the article they list the 280ZX as having 140bhp and recirculating ball steering, but

the car used in the "test" is a Mk2 with the uprated 150bhp engine and improved rack and pinion steering?

Cheerz,
Jez

1: A name spelt incorrectly
2: 280ZX description states having 140bhp/recirculating ball steering whereas the one the car used in the "test" is a Mk2 with the uprated 150bhp engine and
... improved rack and pinion steering?

Technically it wasn't improved rack and pinion steering.....it was simple rack and pinion steering which was a throwback to the S30s before only with PA added.

OK, among styling changes the 260z had a smaller steering wheel. As I said, I fear it's my fault that got in there as I probably didn't explain sufficiently well that the stock wheel was bigger.

Isn't it easy to promulgate errors......another point and reason for correcting the errors - as was earlier stated, they get repeated, believed, repeated, authenticated, repeated and become common knowledge.

Certainly is when waiting for people to post up those famed errors as requested:beatdeadhorse:

So you're in a hurry, you want a list, and you want it now...? You wouldn't happen to be a motoring journalist would you?

I've been out at work all day today (yes, a Sunday...). If you'd have caught me before 7.30am you could have got me to stick a broom up my a*se so I could have swept up for you while I was at it.

Was it directed at yourself, No, It was directed at others who were saying there where errors printed in the article.
Maybe a rhino skin suit is needed

Sean think you have misunderstood what I am trying to get at here Maybe I have not explained it clearly
I am trying to get other (excluding Albrecht) to give me some details of what errors in the actual printed article that they have noticed rather than just saying there are errors in it

Ok - gotcha now.

Just curious though....why the others (excluding he who might be wrong but we don't know enough to judge:rolleyes:) ? An idea of the overall impact on laypersons who are owners ?

I can't help unless someone sends me a copy - can't buy it here !:D
