When you get pulled for no plate, look at the front of your car with a puzzled look and tell the officer it must have fallen off, then comment on how nice his car looks with all the sign writing (trying not to laugh).

May work.........may not.

PS. Glad the DVD arrived. Its amazing how long it takes to simply burn some footage ro DVD. I use a mac for editing (which is usually really easy) and found that iDVD had stopped working after the latest update and spent all day trying to find a "working" download for iLife '06. Got there in the end.

Computers! The bain of our lives.

I will be fitting a proper bumper but it's going to be the last thing I get sorted, quartered look does like nice though.

Car is looking very good darren have noticed that you have made a linkage to the throttle bodies and must have attached it to the pedal inside the car.

What parts did you use and how did you do it ?

I can't believe its been nearly a year since last posting pictures of the car, I need to take some more recent ones but here are some pictures from about a month ago.

Exterior is almost complete, the front bumper in the picture is the old one which is rusty so I'm in the process of getting another front bumper chromed.

Engine is coming along, I've been hampered by a lack of money until recently but most bits now fitted, or on order.

Wiring is almost complete just need to connect a fuel pump relay and power up injectors. Dashboard is back in the car I have a couple of the gauges but still on the hunt for a few cheap Autometer Sport Comp's on fleabay.
Will be picking carpet up tomorrow from Mike, and seats are on order.
Most of the engine pipe work is complete, throttle is done, radiator/fan is done. Need to sort some air filters as there is bugger all room for them.

I will post some more up to date pictues this weekend.

I will get you some pictures to show but the mod is very easy. The cable is from a Skyline GTST (I think it was an R33) but I'm sure a GTR one would do. I then took my zed's throttle pedal and bent the end so its parallel to the bulkhead instead of point towards it this should also make it inline with the hole in the bulkhead. Then I drilled out the ball joint and using a hacksaw made a small passage way so I could slide the cable into the hole then the ball on the end of the cable along with the plastic bush which comes on the Skylines thottle cable fits into the hole. When you see the picture is very easy.

Dave here is a picture of how the throttle pedal looks from inside the car.

I've also uploaded a few more new pictures.

Capet is starting to go in, the ecu in the picture is now hidden away under the dash along with all the wiring.

Picture of the dash with a few gauges fitted, I've still go to connect the gauges so will be doing that next weekend.

I did have a picture showing the engine with the fan and pipes etc but I uploaded the wrong picture so will have to dig that out. I tried to start the car up earlier today but she did not want to fire with my misses nagging me to go home (she was being my assistant) I decided to go home at which point I realised I had forgotten to connect the rear wiring harness which I had disconnected from when I fitted the fuel pump relay so if the weather is good tomorrow when I get home from work I'll try and fire the engine up.

Holy smokes. I remember putting this in the "Looking forward to seeing..." section of the magazine. That was bloomin' ages ago! Superb. Good to see the RB's finally putting in an appearance. That engine note is fantastic. So big and bassy. Get it to the Pod so we can see the times!

Oh, and... not too loud. Priceless!!!

Not the greatest clips of the car but it shows it runs. Once I've got all the gauges working and number plates on the car I'll take it for a spin on the road outside the house and get some better clips.
