What conversion are you doing? Into what car?

It all depends on how much power you will be producing. If you will be producing 180bhp + at the wheels and you have an R180 Diff fitted then it's advisable to replace it with a diff from a late 280ZX, which is an R200, and is a bit more beefier.

Probably be advisable to go for a R200 diff then, especially if you are going to use a manual box and feel like a few 'hard' launches;) .

Also, although certainly no essential to do, if you can find some, try to pick up the heavier duty CV type half shafts from a late 280ZXT or early 300ZXT. You will need to change the hub flanges on your car to fit them, Modern Motorsports do them http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/default.php

So tell us more about your plans then???
