Are you missing a panel ?

I went to Retrorides and saw the 5 Z's. I noticed that 3 of the 5 cars were missing a body panel. It's located on the offside (driver side on RHD cars) and sits behind the rear wheel. Its a curved piece of metalwork about 6" x 6" that helps stops **** from the rear wheel being thrown into the gap between the petrol tank and rear side panel.

I only spoke to one of the Z owners and he didn't know it should have this panel. So just a heads up. Perhaps it was only a 240z piece in Eurospec. Do the 260z's and yankee cars have it ?

The shield is standard on a 260Z too. I was told it is designed to protect the rubber fuel lines from getting damaged, perhaps pierced, by debris which could be thrown up from the road by the RH rear wheel.

They are usually long gone on UK cars I think. The one out of my import project is currently lying on the garage floor- I'll take a snap for you Derrick.
