I just knew it would have to be loud. :smash:

Looks a good 280 Jake.

Nice one Jake, triples and a big stainless number....?.

I think this one may get a double stack muffler, something like a Fujitsubo Legalis. If I can find one loud enough ;)
As it's going to be more of a daily driver I'm planning on sticking with fuel injection. For now anyway.

that front bumer looks HUGE in that pic - gotta lighten the car a fair amount upon removal.
They make great benches for kids :D and weigh about the same as said kids so it's be good to get rid of them.

Congrats Jake, Nice colour mate!..
I thought you would like the colour Tim, but in time it may end up bronze or silver gunmetal ;)

Looks great Jake. I’d love a 2nd, but I have to figure out how to stop spending on the first
I think I'm going to be saving up for a while before I can afford to drop a bespoke L 3.1 litre into the 260  but one day ;)

As everyone knows the best & rarest Z is an early 260 or the 'improved 240' as some call it :D :p  but this 280 is a bit of a heavyweight cruiser so I'll be keeping the heater, sound system and other non essentials except for those bumpers so I won't freeze to death or get bored while sitting in traffic.

Any guesses how many 280's might be in the UK? 20? 30?

I have imported/sold numbers well into double figures of 280Z model over last couple of years or so but half of those gone into Europe so no longer in UK. That guy SJ who is always advertising project cars on eBay must have sold a few. I reckon there must be 20/30 here with direct imports.

Yours is going to be the first John
Can’t see it being much different from a 260 swap but interested to see process.
