86/87 differential

hello there

my z31 has picked up yet another mysterious noise... this is a rear end acceleration dependent noise, mechanic reckons its from the diff. probably wont fail, but its fairly headache inducing on long drives.

Is it worth replacing? if so, anyone know where i could pick one up? its an 86/87 manual non-turbo, so i guess its an open Diff.

As far as I'm aware the UK only got the open diff. The Z31 has the same R200 as the S12 Silvia and my mate put in a LSD from an S13 with minor mods. I also know the S14 VLSD is also a mod on SXOC for the S13 from the S14 so could be good upgrade
