4WD Mini Project, Epic Build Videos

Yep, it is getting there, but it seems very slow. They are doing this their spare time and filming it must slow things up a bit too. Episode 15 was excellent after the relative disappointment of episode 14. Probably need to wait 3 months for the next episode...

I like to binge watch programs so it's going to feel like an age.
Makes me want to fabricate more on my car now. Might have a go at making a fuel tank if I can't fit the soarer one in the boot.

Ridiculous, obsessive and OTT.

I do enjoy it though.

I just hope it's better than a well driven Mini when it's finished.

Here we go again, episode 17 is now live. Custom AC/Vent/Heater unit build, ridiculously complicated. No room for 'that'll do' measurements.

Fingers crossed, the next installment is supposed to come out relatively soon.

I love this series but they do go over the top a bit. It would be much for time efficient to use parts from other cars but I guess that's not the point of the build.

No, that’d be shamurai spec!

I’d say it’ll take longer to find something that’ll work and do a half arsed job than just doing it properly.

They definitely do things properly.

Was that 15 hours to make the wiper linkage?[emoji23]

Watched episode 18, the wipers... excellent! Love the rain sensor and rear wiper set up. I just hope they finish before they retire of old age!

Episode 19 is out now: 'Wiring'... so it is getting there! Great attention to detail, the correct colour wiring and everything.

Your car would be full of brackets.

Great engineering but excessive. The design and solving of solutions is amazing. I hope they don't crash it or set it on fire!
