Just about to be painted and it looks like they will stick to the 4 week estimate. They originally said it should take 7 1/2 days, then added another 1 day to take it back to metal. Looks like its going to be just over 9 days in the end.

Hi John, I have trouble keeping up with your 'stable'. Could you update your listing and delete the cars that are sold or gone please. ;)

Anyway keep up the good work, this is another interesting project. Good luck in persuading the DVLA that this is not highly modified and is still an 'Historic' car. However it appears that they have realised how unworkable their plans were and are reviewing them.

I'm not fussed about the whole historic this and if I have to pay road tax then so be it.

This is not a highly modified car. It's using a different engine and box but that's it's. Swapping back to standard engine and box would be a doddle. I may even do that for its first not and registration.

Tub painted. Rest should be ready tomorrow. Then its a day to flatten and polish. It will be ready for Saturday and I cant wait to start putting it back together.

Just been over to help fit the bonnet back on the car and we noticed a couple of imperfection. So they are going to repaint it which means the car wont be ready this week now. Looking at their diary I cant see it being finished until the end of next week now. At least this will give me a bit more time to get the silver 260 ready for them.

I am very happy with the colour and the finish they have achieved but I cant see them doing the next car for the same price.

Yep, he's worked hard today. When I looked in this morning it was covered in sanding marks from the first phase of wet sanding. I've not seen it yet. He sent me these pics this afternoon. This is going to be an everyday runaround so it probably needs to pick up a few dings before I'm comfortable driving it around. Bit like the blue car did.

I believe the front is standard height :)

The back only looks low because it has 240z struts on it. That's probably how I'll run the rear, or at least with the 240 isolators.

Small update.

Installed all the suspension minus the struts. I'm still not sure which way to go with them so I'll fit the old 280z ones (not refurbed) until the car is finished. Then I can test the ride height with the car at full weight.

Finished getting the suspension back together so its now back on its wheels. Ended up using the original 280z struts and fitting the Tokico dampers and spring kit I had on the shelf.
