280zx Sealed Headlight replacement

Chaps,

One of my sealed headlights is not working and I considered changing over to a standard 7 inch headlight with a replaceable bulb..h4 I think.... ( I'm not into any other fancy sort of upgraded lighting as the car is only used on dry days for a nice blast out ..)

Are there any wiring / relay implications - I think the sealed unit is 45w on dipped and the h4 is 55w on dipped ( I think that's 1 amp more using the h4 ? ).....

Hi Ash

Any 7" headlight will do, there is no wiring issue with the H4 bulb. It's a straight swap. Lights are easy to source. Try Mike Feeney. If you are having issues getting hold of some (you shouldn't) I do have an 'as new' set that I can let you have. They have an optional side light bulb which is easy to wire up or just blank the bulb hole.
