280ZX Power steering rack strip down

Has anybody stripped down or dismantled a 280ZX power steering rack? How do you remove the "end caps" to withdraw the piston / rack assembly? Does anybody have an assembly drawing? Any help appreciated.

Make match marks before you attempt to split ends off.
The special tool is a large C-spanner with a 1/2" drive at one end...

I have (one only) new centre section of 280ZX P/S rack, missing only some pipework. Call me!

Thanks Mike. The rack itself is in very good condition, but the pipes on the rack where badly corroded. Couldn't get the fittings undone, tried everything - so having to drill the fittings out, didn't want swarf to enter piston area. Thanks .
