280ZX engine swap

Hi all new to the forum and new the motor swap thing. I was wondering if any of you know if a 2jzgte has ever been put in a 280zx. I have a 1981 280zx 2+2 and I am looking to do this swap but need to know if there are and documented, just needing some help on this any would be great

I think I've seen this done before but don't know antone who's done it. As they say, anythings possible. As I found out though, information about 1jz/2jz swap is not very well documented or just incorrect. I asume your car is LHD. I'd be looking at the basics first like: distance between strutt towers, hieight from crossmember to underside of bonnett, clearence around stearing, ect. We know it can be done relatively easy in a S30 so I'd be looking at the engine bay differences between 240's and 280zx's. If it fits in the engine bay then your next biggest problem will be the wiring. Info on the internet is pretty **** for a 1jz and I've no idea about the 2j.

mesure the space up as long as engine fits in its easily possible as you can just make custom made mounts etc and even cut the bulkhead if need be. easily possible if u got some1 who knows what they are doing behind it. i know some 1 whos put a rover v8 with carbs in a sierra cosworth
