1987 z31 turbo won't start

Forum User
hi,
I bought a 1987 z31 turbo that has stood still since 1998. At retrieval it started almost instantly. Now at home it doesn't start anymore. Does anyone know why it suddenly stopped running or what could be the cause?
(New fuel has been added)

Need to check the fusible links under bonnet, just by right side strut top. Prone to wire rotting inside insulation, mine anyway lol

That's the ones I'd say, they look fine.

You need to check if you are getting fuel at the fuel rail and spark at the engine, from there it will be easier to track the problem.

The engine is getting fuel and there is also a spark

i added 2 pics of the engine

The two most common failures are crank angle sensor (in the distributor) and air flow meter.
These will show as fault codes on the self diagnosis function.
