100e with z31 heart

I learnt to drive in a 100E, 1172cc sidevalve Ford, 3 speed gearbox, vacuum wipers! State of the art!

I fitted Lotus Cortina quarter bumpers to the front - actually 105E Anglia Van rear bumpers, same thing.
 
First car I can remember my Dad having, around 1963, was a Ford Popular 100E in a beige colour. Had the longest gear stick I'd ever seen!

Yep, but have you ever seen an early mini gearlever. When you changed gear the gearknob had to be moved about 2 feet and they used to bounce up and down and select neutral for you.!

Most cars of that era had the lever going straight into the box - 'remotes' were sold as an after-market mod.

As a matter of interest what does she do to 60mph / run to 1/4 mile?

With a stock 700ish Kg and Nos I bet she embarrasses a lot of modern sports cars off the lights!
