Metal ball bearing in dizzy vacuum tube

Possibly. But I think there's a couple of BBs like that under the base plate. Might be worth checking that they're all present and correct.

Best way to refurb sump pan?

Thats the problem with looking 😃 The more important thing is whether there's any scoring on the journals. What do they look like?

I've definitely used m8 bolts in that centre thread on the end cap. Maybe your random one is the wrong thread? Or maybe the thread just needs chasing with a tap.

And that is one Ok 😊 you could clamp it with a couple of bits of wood and a pair of mole grips and bend it into a better shape.

It will come (I think!) off without taking the box off. You can do it. You'll get fleeced if you try to get someone else to do it.

If it wasn't leaking from there before, it won't leak there when you put it back on. You only need a complete ring of firm contact through the gasket, you don't have to have all the gasket under the raised area of the mating ridge compressed.

I don't think you can replace the side seals without taking the rear main cap out. There's an m8 threaded hole in the centre of it, put a bolt in it and lever it out with a claw hammer and block of wood.

Personally, I'd leave the rear main cap alone unless there's evidence of leaks. If the other main bearings are fine, that one probably is too.

If it is a washer, its for a big bolt. Sort of the size of the cam pulley bolt. But it's washer is steel. Perhaps some previous...

Normally brittle plasticky bits in the sump are sealant from the cam cover baffle. But that does look like something else. Perhaps a bit of chain guide? Thats the only plastic I can think of in the engine.

    260Z lower front valance/lip

Ok, so I think I've got it. Dylan does have a 1 piece grp valance with integral oem size spoiler (which @bobzilla is buying) But if you want to use an oem 3 piece valance, Dylan only the larger spoiler to bolt to it. Yes? Better than faecebook now?

Yeah, thats what I asked him, but he was sure he only had the bigger one 🤷 Maybe it's my punishment/reward for not being a faecebooker.
