Another Zed to scratch that itch

So the camber can be adjusted at the top of the hat as in the safari gold pic above or you can adjust it at the lower control arm with a pair of T3 type adjustable lower control arms. My orange track car has the T3's so I didn't have to cut the top of the strut tower.

Another Zed to scratch that itch

The CAT may be getting hot because the car is running richer with those SU's rather than the EFI. I'm in Cali and we have to run the CAT on our cars here but if your not required, I would remove the car for sure. Mike

Moving from US to UK with my 240Z

OK, this is a small world!!!!!!!!! Banshee, I just learned that your car use to be owned by my good mate's, (Steve Parmley), brother. Steve lives a few minutes from me and i have been friends with him for years and we have traded Zed parts and cars for years.......this is too funny. Steve...

can I fit an extra silencer?

That really sounds nice, even louder than my track car with an L28 and triples. One of my street cars had dual glass pack mufflers 18" i think.......it was still too loud for the street. I ended up with 5 glass pack mufflers and it was great for the street with a raspy high note at full...

    Changes to DVLA Historic status

Do I understand the DVLA to say that it is permissible to change the picture frame " left hand drive to right hand drive" and still be in compliance with Historic status? Or is it something else they are saying? Mike

    1971 240Z Blue/Blue Cali Baked

Sad to see this one go but it is going to a great home across the pond. Lots of great communication with the buyer and I'm sure they will treat this car with the care it deserves, maybe even start their own thread on this forum so we can all tag along.

    1971 240Z Blue/Blue Cali Baked

Replaced the steering wheel and horn pad today, replaced the license plate lamp, replaced the ignition switch with a working key, replaced the steering column clamshell, did some tidy up on the door panel. I am running out of spares so this will take a lot more time if I buy another similar...

    Respray

Just talking to a few mates about this last week in the states... One chap just had his 68 Mustang painted at a Maaco (low end single stage painter) and paid $7K....everyone thought is was a decent price but it did have some orange peel. Nice base clear paint jobs that were $7K - $10K pre...

    1971 240Z Blue/Blue Cali Baked

Replaced the clutch and pressure plate today as the current clutch was giving me a lot of chatter. Turns out that after we removed the clutch we could see that the rear main seal was leaking slightly so that was replaced at the same time. Rear brake shoes, and rear brake lines replaced today as...

Made some big progress this week on the Zed. Replaced the repaired front wing and replaced both headlight scoops with original fiberglass ones I had squirreled away. Swapped out the newer style wheels with a set of Panasport Racing wheels I had in spare, really changes the looks of the car for...
