Well, the RS had to go back to the bodyshop for some rework to the the paint work but is now back and things are really coming together.

Agreed Its all about the quality and workmanship. Nothing to hind here :)

Haven’t posted for a while as ive been busy with other projects but he are some pictures of the RS going back together.

Well, after a long wait for a slot in the bodyshop things are finally moving along now. Went to see how the old girl is getting on today and I am very pleased with the results so far. The shell should be ready for collection mid next week and then the fun part of putting it back together...

This car came with beige beta cloth interior original and this is something we are having trouble with finding. It seems you can get black and brown beta cloth but not beige :(. Most of the Interior part was in good condition and we found it not to hard to find replacement parts we needed ...

The filler work and primer should be done by the end of the week so she should be in her final Midnight Blue over coat by next week. Not long now.

Finished of all the metal work and stone chipping this week and got the old girl ready to go of to the paint shop.

Finished up the drivers floor and spot welding around the door frames this week just two repairs left to do by the rear jacking points. first coat of stone chip applied Put the car on its front wheels this week to fit the front panel and finish of the engine bay metal work...

Time has come to start on the driver’s side. Not as much work to do as the passenger side and once done will only leave a hand fully of job left to complete the metal work on the old girl. On the driver’s side we are looking to replace the inner and outer sills, inner and outer rear arches...

I guess you are all wondering what’s happened to the RS resto? Well, I’ve had a few other jobs to finish and now there complete I can continue the final push to get the RS ready for the body shop. We still haven’t been able to get hold of a rear quarter panel so the only option is to repair...
