Hi guys, I know this isn’t the right place but for some reason I couldn’t start a thread. I was talking to one of the neighbourhood kids about my Datsun the other day and he says he sees an orange 240z about frequently. I’m in the Medway area. Anyone know who this is?
Gents,
I don’t suppose anyone has an email address or similar for Ali AKA Smileyinside?
I have some info on a recent research win I have had but I don’t think he’s getting PM.
Cheers all.
Matt
I'm watching this with interest as I also have a hankering for this 4 pot vented disc upgrade. I need new brakes anyway so may as well pay a little extra to go large.
I hear the kit for 240Z hubs is a 1/2 inch spacer, S12W toyota callipers and Peugeot 505Gti discs.
I have to say, I'm never...
Yes and yes. Haha. I had a sliding hammer at work to no avail and tried combinations of all sorts including heat. Unfortunately the dampers are not functioning properly so leaving it in is not an option.
Gents,
As you may have seen on an earlier post I was stripping down all my front suspension for a blast and coat.
I had a real struggle getting the gland nuts off first but got that sorted by a local workshop. The first damper came straight out with no problem, the second is a different...
Ok, so after trying it several ways I took it down to a local engineering workshop and they did it in about 5 minutes. All done now. Although one of the cartridges won't come out, I'm sure it will shift out tomorrow after spending the night during wd40.
Thanks everyone for the advice. As with...
At this point, I am only worrying about the strip down to get the stuff powdered. If a clamp and pipe wrench fails then there is a good engineering shop and workshop near by. I was rather hoping that someone would have the special tool. lol.
I'll worry about a replacement gland nut if I knacker...
Hi Chaps,
I have just stripped down my front suspension and I cannot get the nut undone to finally withdraw the damper cartridge. I'm talking about the 8 sided nut with 4 indents in the top and is approx 51mm across.
Is there anyone near me who has a tool that will do the job. I have a...
