    Seats again.

I didn't say you were wrong, I was merely illustrating how conjecture turns to gospel in a fortnight. No offence meant. Another matter to consider is that, as the MZR cars are chock full of bespoke parts, its possible they are making their own. Steve

    Seats again.

vipergts, 26/1/21, "I’m convinced these are what MZR use but trimmed properly." vipergts, 5/2/21, "As I said these are what MZR use so quality and strength of the main shell I’m hoping is up to the job but the sizing is good." And that, gentlemen, is how facts become established! Steve

    Full Lockdown!

Here's a departure from the norm! Is it me or is Sean talking more sense than usual (no offence meant Sean) or is it just his view coinciding with mine. Perhaps France has got it worse than we have, I've not checked the numbers, but he seems to be in the real world with the rest of us (not me...

L28 Fast Road Engine Rebuild - Advice Wanted!

Don't buy rods which give the big end width as XXmm. Don't ask me how I know! Steve

    Dave Jarman

I've got 1834 items in my "Deleted Items" and 748 are unread. I think I'm a hero keeping all this stuff, after all, knowledge is power. My wife thinks otherwise. My PC may be a bit slow but I'm from an era when you could make a cup of tea whilst your CAD drawing regenerated. Steve

    Rebuilt MGBV8s

Interesting car. Can you recreate an MGB V8 from the parts bin? These cars have started out in life with a new shell (lucky bu**ers) to which has been added off the shelf parts. I'm sure MZR would like to have access to new shells made by the "manufacturers" however the use of other standard...

MGB GT V8 better than 240Z

Had a V8 roadster since 1979. Last driven in 1982, now under some form of restoration. Sean will have seen the rolling shell in France - unless he had his blinkers on! Toured extensively with Mr Jarman (bet you thought he was a Datsun man) who had a tuned 1800cc version. The V8 had more power...

    Acid Dipping.. Head and Block.

Not sure if I'm teaching granny to suck eggs but you need to remove all the core plugs, oil gallery plugs, the filter bypass valve and the restrictors from the head face. You mentioned aqua blasting the water channels, you'll find the "acid" remove all the limescale etc from the block and you...

    Acid Dipping.. Head and Block.

Hi chaps, as far as I know the iron block and the ally head are cleaned in different solutions. I've used Surface Processing Ltd in Dudley with some success. I was charged £140 for a block and £60 for a head, plus Vat. As far as I can tell they have no fixed prices, the chap eyeballs your bits...

    "Nice" head.

Hi pmac, thanks for taking the trouble to explain this for me and good answer by the way. I guess you and others were right about making the price point the real reason for making the compromise and if these springs have proved themselves to you there's no arguing with that. Do you machine the...

    "Nice" head.

Could someone explain why Schneider springs rule? I've always considered them oversize and over stiff and the matching caps just hold it all together. Genuine question, not trying to stir things up, maybe I've missed something?

    Jenvey injection kit

Replacements to your ex-pat friend, they will make there way here if required. I doubt I will actually need them unless he asks me to do the wiring loom. I have the manifold for matching to the head but that is about as far as I need to go. Good luck with your sale! Steve

    Jenvey injection kit

No, I'm the chap with the big roving camping car. I had a fit when I thought you may have had a change of heart however I have been calmed down by an ex-pat near you. Steve
