Just done this myself, the flanges on the locking ring need to touch the ones on the tank.

I need to replace the rubber plugs that go in the floorpan in the rear hatch, 22mm. Does anyone know of a cheaper source other than ordering from the U.S.A? Are they a standard size? Many thanks in advance.

It lost a fair bit of oil judging by the stains on the drive and there's only about one and a half litres in there to start with. I have fiddled around and pushed the tube upwards so I'll see if that makes a difference.

The fuel pump on my 240Z is leaking, I assume that it is not worth repairing and I should replace it with a new one, probably from from Rockauto. Any advice and is it worth getting an electrical one instead of a manual one?

Thank you to all for the replies and advice. There is some good news, the fuel pipe into the pump was only finger tight, thus the leak. Now tighten, no leak. More problems with the clutch though but hopefully all repairable.
