    Fuel sender help

Apologies for the rather tardy response. Correct, they need to be hard up against the ones on the tank,

Just done this myself, the flanges on the locking ring need to touch the ones on the tank.

    Floor Pan Rubber Plugs

I need to replace the rubber plugs that go in the floorpan in the rear hatch, 22mm. Does anyone know of a cheaper source other than ordering from the U.S.A? Are they a standard size? Many thanks in advance.

    Rear-End Clunk - Seeking Confirmation

1972 240Z - original UK RHD I just want to run this by you knowledgeable people here to confirm that my diagnosis and prognosis are, hopefully, correct. I’ve had the dreaded ‘clunk’ when coming on and off the accelerator so I managed to get the car over a pit the other day to have a proper...

    Oil Leak - Rear Differential

It lost a fair bit of oil judging by the stains on the drive and there's only about one and a half litres in there to start with. I have fiddled around and pushed the tube upwards so I'll see if that makes a difference.

    Oil Leak - Rear Differential

If you're happy to do that, that would be very kind of you. It's this part: R180 R200 R160 Rear Differential Vent OEM 240Z 260Z 280Z. Part #: 200-582 but you probably know that.

    Oil Leak - Rear Differential

My 1972 240z is finally back on the road, which is pleasing but I do have a number of teething issues, which is no surprise considering that it hasn’t really be driven in 18-years. I noticed that it’s got an oil leak coming from the rear differential. My initial fear was that is was one of the...

    Leaking Fuel Pump

I thought I’d sorted out the leak but it started again and with petrol dripping onto the alternator, my only choice is a new one. I’ve order one from Rockauto, along with a new fuel filter, total cost including taxes, shipping, etc is £28.38. Making it much cheaper than the one currently...

    Leaking Fuel Pump

The fuel pump on my 240Z is leaking, I assume that it is not worth repairing and I should replace it with a new one, probably from from Rockauto. Any advice and is it worth getting an electrical one instead of a manual one?

Air and Breather filters plus other queries

Thank you to all for the replies and advice. There is some good news, the fuel pipe into the pump was only finger tight, thus the leak. Now tighten, no leak. More problems with the clutch though but hopefully all repairable.

Air and Breather filters plus other queries

I’ve finally been reunited with by 72 Datsun 240Z only to discover a number of issues that need to be resolved to get it road worthy, not-with-standing a stuck clutch. I feel that I could be posting rather a lot in the next few weeks so be gentle with me. These first few questions are all...

    Replacement Clutch Kit for 240Z

I need to replace my existing clutch, it’s seized. The last one I got from the sadly departed Mike Feeney at MJP Auto. It’s a standard car and I’m not planning to put it on the track so I don’t need any heavy duty or competition rated. Though that said, something that increases torque capacity...
