Hello all Happy New Year! Couple of quick questions: A: In 2006, I sold my red 1973 240Z, reg UUV 269M, to a bloke called Dave from Kirkheaton in Yorkshire and... lost contact and never knew what happened to it. Anybody have any news about this car? I am asking for sentimental reasons...

Thanks Zedhead, Paul Matts here - yes on both counts - the fire was extinguished quickly and the damage is no where near as bad as last time. Could say a lot, but won't here... meanwhile, back to the process of insurance claim and restoration - and also changes to ensure this never happens...

Actually, poked my head in the garage this morning (hmmm, wasn't a bad dream...) and had a quick look at the damage again - no where near as bad a last time. The carbs look ok, damage looks to be melted placky bits (carb couplings, leads, distr cap), fibreglass bonnet (probably dead) and paint...
