Just bought our first Z (240Z)

Looks great Woody. Has the new prop sorted out the vibration?

    Looking for an S14 gearbox.

Richie, I think there are a few more differences than you think ranging from the S13 to the S14a box. In the search for syncros for my S14a, I spent a long time getting various VIN numbers and registrations for various S14a years and Nissan/Glyn Hopkin came up with 4 different part diagrams for...

    S14a gearbox parts

I am in the process of have a S14a gearbox rebuilt. The syncros could do with being replaced. The gearbox is allegedly from a 200sx, S14a, 1999 manual UK car. But I do not have access to the reg or VIN number of the car it was originally in. Being a European box, this FS5W71C box has 3 piece...

Is there a meeting this Sunday at The Lodge. Never been to a meet before but I'm driving the car quite a lot at the moment and am free on Sunday. Also would like to see some other Z's if possible.

    Keys

Can someone advise, what the 240z was originally supplied with key wise? When I bought my car it was only supplied with one set of keys. They included the original (I think) ignition key and a separate (original) fuel cap key. I had the door looks replaced and now (unfortunately) I have two more...

    240z Tyres (again)

It probably wasn't raining at all. He just put them on to make it look tougher;)

    Crunch in second

Rob, I double de clutch loads. I have a Ford 7Y without synchromesh. I do it on the 240z all the time to no avail. I did 60 miles in her today. Every time down to second, crunch. I'm not saying I'm a ace driver, but I have a few old classics, and I don't believe this is me.

    240z Tyres (again)

To be honest the handling aspect was cornering and roundabouts in wetter conditions. But i take your point. I did learn a bit of a lesson. My car doesn't have a raked look at all. But that's possibly due to the lower suspension set up at the rear. I know I'm going to be nagged about photos...

    Crunch in second

Hi racer No haven't checked this. Simple to do? I'm still learning about the idiosyncrasies of the car at the moment and the forum has proved to be a very useful source of info.

    Unknown button!

Albrecht, that wasn't what I was attempting to do. I will edit my post to reflect this. You will need to do the same to yours if you feel the need. I feel suitably contrite!
