Roll bar adjustable end links question

Was just having a peruse through the Z store suspension bushes and came across these adjustable end links

not seen them before, and what i don't understand is this bit, and i quote

'They replace the entire end link assembly and have two alignment holes for easy rate (stiffness) adjustment.'

can someone explain how the different holes affect the stiffness please?

I think you install it so the two holes are in line with the axis of the ARB end, so that when you use the hole nearer the ARB pivot point you have a shorter lever and so a higher rate.
i.e. think of the centre section of the ARB (as it goes across the car) as the spring, and the sections that go to the drop links are the levers on the spring.
Shorter levers mean you twist the spring more for the same distance travelled - stiffer spring.

like changing to an ARB like this, on the cheap - the hole nearer the front makes for a stiffer ARB.

Ok, I see, I wasn't quite grasping the concept with your first post, but that second post and the image made it clear

Is it something many people bother with, as I've not seen or heard it mentioned before along with all the other suspension modding that goes on?

I don’t know of anyone that’s got them, I think a lot of people just get a thicker ARB. MrF sells them.

Adjustable position drop-links for ARBs are common in racing, especially single-seaters. Some have 'blade' ends that you can rotate from inside the car i.e. the blade is easier to deflect when it is 90' to the drop-link.
