Anybody seen the Mk2 Jag episode?

There was a nice 240Z in a specialist coachbuilder unit.

This programme portrays Drew and his sidekick as perfectionists and yet they are not. All the cars so far have been less than perfect.

Most noticable things - a Mini Cooper S that has a more modern body, single carb engine etc.

The Mk2 Jag has been 'finished' as a period race car, but it's a 'boy racer' car. And it's a 3.4 not 3.8. The cam covers were not period either so was the engine an XJ6 unit?

They bought a 928 Porsche and it was rough - electrics were 'shot' and instead of a quick fix they found a mouse has eaten the loom. They never showed how that car got sold!

The Lotus Forums have been ripping the Elan apart too so you see we aren't the only ones.

Actually I saw the Elan in the yard of the Nottingham 'side kick' so perhaps it hasn't sold anyway - the Elan guys reckon it's a set-up.

Why do they treat us like idiots?

That Jag looked a mess and yet the guy who bought it was supposed to be an expert and 'know his Jags'. He didn't even lift the bonnet, drive it or haggle! The black bumpers looked awful with all the rest of the chrome. Did you notice they didn't even have seat belts

Can't stand the man or programme personally, would rather watch the endless repeats of Wheeler Dealers any day.

Check this out... I've been watching Goblin Works Garage.. Ford Capri tonight (which from the preview looks like they may do a good job), but I spotted a Z in the trailer. That'll be interesting if it is a project coming up in the series.

I have been watch Goblin works and have been disappointed with it so far. Interested to see what they do with the caprice and the Datsun.

And yes Rob they do think we are idiots, it's all to try and make good TV but it falls way short.

Makes wheeler dealers look really good but I did enjoy it especially when Eddie was doing his bit. The best car building program was Mark Evans with a car is born series, atleast that was real !!!!!!

Definitely, one of the best, if not the best. Surely there's a call for more informative programmes like it. Maybe Youtube has taken that spot.

Yes, agree, Goblin isn't that fab.Shocked what they did to the Landy and the price they sold it for.. SMH... Let hope they don't butcher a Z!
