If that was your 5 year old car you would take it back to the dealer under bodywork warranty?

It is a decent shell but 'rust free'?

Replace the word rust for rot perhaps.

He'll claim it's just surface stuff ... so no 'rot' as such ... but that spare wheel well has seen better days.

You'll get no engine or transmission with this ... but wouldn't you know it, available separately ...

must be an early vs late thing as mine runs under the drivers side floor like that rather than in the tranny tunnel, although mines 77 2+2 if that makes any difference

'Rust free' is probably accurate Rob. The term 'rust' can only properly be applied to iron (an iron oxide). The car may be riddled by corrosion though! Something that steel and many other metals suffer from! Maybe the seller is a Lawyer and knows how to play a game?
