Bit of a buying spree in Cali

When you say refurb the console, what's best for bringing it back to its best? Is there something magic out there - or is it just a case of cleaning it up like any other piece?

Clean up, repair cracks, and re-paint if needed Mike.

No magic but I have several nice replacement consoles if I need to use them.

Added some newer and nicer sheet metal today. Tail lights and light panel next week along with series 1 seats. Still needs a good scrub next week too.

Added the tail lights, light surrounds, and marker lights to the Series 1 roller. Rain this week so some of the dirt should wash off...LOL

Thanks Jake.

Added the correct "D" series 1 hub caps today to the early Safari Gold Z. I think they look great on this car and you don't see too many with these hub caps anymore.

Looks very nice with the steel wheels and hub caps, Mike. Is there as much history with this one as the brown one?

Unfortunately no Mike. Purchased from a long term owner in the Bay Area of California. It then went through 2 more owners in the last 6 months. Mechanical and brake work done so thats all good.

Had the car up on a rack the other day and everything looks very nice underside so I'm happy with that. Looks like one re-paint in original color many years ago but it is very thin in places.

Basically, it is a early car that is in a condition that shows no accidents and no abuse. The 3 places of rust in the dog legs and door have already been addressed. Just need to replace some non-factory parts inside to make it closer to original.
