Mike, yes maybe you have work for the new year but it's not the sort of work we have on our RHD Datsuns. We get a great deal of satisfaction from cutting-out rust and poor repairs then welding-in home-made bits between rain showers! You must be quite envious.

Lovely cars.

Loving that 920 Safari Gold 71 car, looks beautiful! My favourite colour after 918 orange. What are the plans for that car?

The 71 with the L28 and 5 speed will be great for cruising around in and chucking about I'm sure as well.

Top one...wow.... is she as good as she looks?

Yes, she is that good. She had a few rust holes in each of the dog legs that was cut out and replaced with new metal from replacement dog legs.
One door had a small rust hole that was cut and replaced.
All work done by the previous owner in the shop next door so I was able to see the progress, he does not cut corners.
He then had some original safari gold paint mixed and sprayed the areas of repair.

The car only became for sale a few days ago as he is buying a house and needed capital.

Yes Rob, I know that I am usually very lucky at having cars that need very little metal work. Still envious of the better spec'ed cars that you have in the UK and Europe though.

Probably will try BAT for the sale on the safari gold car as my last BAT endeavor on the brown 73 was a smashing success at $29K.

The silver 71 has interest already from a UK buyer at just under $14K.

When you say refurb the console, what's best for bringing it back to its best? Is there something magic out there - or is it just a case of cleaning it up like any other piece?
