How Many Miles Do You Do A Year In Your Z?

It was MOT day today, once again, no advisories only lots of interest from passers by.

I feel like I use mine quite a lot, but over the past 3 years I have averaged 745 miles between MOTs.

I suppose that given it is only out of its cocoon April until October each year it's not too bad, but it does feel like more.

i did 78 miles this year, 23 miles was to the mot and back.
partly because of the weather but mostly because i feel the need to take it apart and improve things which are 5min jobs that end up being month long projects.
i gotta learn to just enjoy it and drive it

Not had mine long enough, but don't drive it any different to my other weekend cars of past. Except this isn't a track car. But i have done 1800 miles this year, bought in July! and it is cocooned over the winter.

miles i guess don't matter, its whether i feel i enjoying it or not.

Quite a lot? You are joking surely? 745 miles a year? I would sometimes do that in a week! In the four years I owned my 260Z I averaged about 7000 miles a year.
I’ve said it before, and I know I am in danger of getting boring on this topic, but I really don’t see the point in owning a fabulous classic and hardly ever driving it - unless you have bought it as an investment to make money and are not really interested in cars.
One day you will be dead and gone - and you can’t drive it then!!
So unless your pleasure is had by peering at your car as it sits in a darkened garage, then get that cotton wool off it and get out there and enjoy it! So what if you put some miles on it? If it is your pride and joy you will probably never sell it anyway, so any resulting loss in value (and I never suffered any) is irrelevant anyway.

In the 2 years that I had my 280zx, I done just over 40,000 miles. Loved it that much that I had to go on a long drive in it every single day.

Over 3000 miles last year including a trip to Le Mans, going again next year and hope to do similar mileage again and keep using it.

I managed 320 miles over a weekend a few weeks back when the weather was better. They're made to be driven and used imo, get out there and use it :thumbs:

I tend to do 1500-2000 ish, not bad considering I am only actually at home about 10-12 weeks a year.I just love driving it so much I get out every chance I can. Sometimes spend a whole day driving on some nice roads.

The least I have done is 38 miles in a year(mot station to home then back to mot station the next year). I have owned my car for 26 years and done 21.000 miles in that time.

I average around 500 miles per year. I generally only use it in dry weather from about April to October.

I do about 3000. Mostly in 5 mile loops round home to see if what I just changed made a difference.

Did about 900 miles in mine over the summer. Tbh I felt like I didn’t drive it enough...
