Like all freshly painted cars, you really need to go look at it. IMO the paint looks a little wobbly in the pictures but any buyer should make their own mind up as to if they feel this is a problem or not. I'd want to see some pre painting pictures before I part with any money.

I agree with your observations and advice.

LOOKS tidy and if it goes for the starting figure it may be ok.

Strange front indicator treatment but not a big issue.

What is baffling me is - does it have a sunroof? Two pictures suggest it does to me but others don't.

Engine bay pic?

As JMD says, you'd HAVE to go see. I can't make out whether it has a sunroof or not as Rob says. I reckon it has. Why make the side repeaters clear yet (awful) front indicators floating in those holes?

Never seen the rear interior vinyl without the diamond stitching or the plastic moulded type.

Not many pics.

Yep - I'd have left the orange wing repeaters only.

Missing the scuff plate on the passenger side he does state needs finishing. Shame that such a project isn't followed trhough between father and son and then appreciated after all the hard work.

I've seen that type of trim before.

Just to add before this goes too far - we can all be picky about secondhand 'Classic Cars' that have either suffered through intervention or non-intervention. Once cars get to 40+ years old there are going to be things that invite opinion (just like houses).

However as has been pointed out before on here it can be useful for the novice buyer. My first 240Z was 10 times worse than this one (I think). What I do know is that from the very first day I bought a Datsun I have thought about them EVERY day since.
