Thought I'd test the market and if it sold I'd have a garage for my Sam. It's a great car and so I'm not selling it cheaply but I will listen to offers.

I've got a guy who is interested but the arrival of Hugh's old car on the scene has complicated things.

If this advert doesn't sell it I'll keep it and see what I think next Spring.

Has it sold now Rob?

At the moment the car hasn't sold but that's mainly my fault I think!

As above I had a serious enquiry but the guy became interested in Hugh's car at the auction. I had always intended to improve/simplify the wiring in the blue car so I thought I'd do it whilst waiting for the auction to run. I started and then got another genuine enquiry but the guy was out of the country for a week - no problem I'll finish it by then or at least I could get the car mobile for a test drive.

HOWEVER I've got carried away and it's very slow progess due to my tiny garage (I can't even open the driver's door enough to get under the dash!).

The first guy decided against Hugh's car and both are now waiting on me to get back to them. I am not going to short-cut my plans because I wan't to do it properly as if I was doing it for myself (which I might be). I think while I'm at it I'll fit the spot lights and reversing lights I bought.

I've opened up the loom from the dash forward and removed unnecessary wiring, added new, improved electrical protection, reliability and fault tracing. I've also got the fuse-box area to bits and sorting all that out by simplifying things and fitting new fuse boxes.

I know the car so much better now too and trust me it will all be neat and tidy when I've finished. Plus I will draw-up a decent diagram reflecting this car.

So I haven't re-advertised and if I need to I may do that next year. I'm in no hurry to sell (as you may have gathered) but the space would be useful and I could focus on a few jobs I've got 'lined up' for the Sam.

Be nice to see a decent write-up with pics of all the electrical mods when you've done it Rob (anything to help educate the clueless - like myself)

It will only go if I get a decent price for it.

People said the same about my track car and my 110 Red car.

Workmates also said I'd never be content if I left work after 40 years with BT (GPO when I stated).

I'd like to have kept all my Datsuns, my motorbikes, my girlfriends, my workmates etc etc.

I can adapt very well if I have made the decisions.

Sean, I want those carbs for it too - just in case. ;)
