Something to put in the vacant stereo hole/slot

Ive never had a stereo in the car, and im not really bothered about fitting one, but im also fed up of looking at a vacant gap with assorted wires showing, every time i use the car!
So, what have others used/done? i was thinking ideally some sort of tray affair from a more modern vehicle and fettled to fit in said gap! something big enough to take a wallet and phone for example :)
A blanking plate would suffice, but the above would be far more practical, seeing as the centre console is limited on storage!

I had something similar in a car that went from double din to single and it proved to be phenomenally useful.

Mr. T., in spite of all my efforts to put the modern internals into mine, it virtually never gets used for music but rather to connect to my phone for Sat Nav instructions. Much like you, I hate spoiling the engine note with music! :)

Totally agree, most of the time im only doing shortish journeys, so no need really for music

On longer journeys i borrow my sons blue tooth speaker which just happens to sit perfectly in the wider front part of the centre console, under where the stereo would be :D
