Clutch and light weight flywheel options

To add my 'two - penneth'.

I had a standard (but 240mm) flywheel lightened by 4 lbs (which was the extra weight of the 240mm clutch over a 225 mm one). Never had a problem over at least 10 years of 7k revving.

Used a 'Centreforce 2' clutch, again it worked well. A standard 240mm clutch couldn't take the power of my modified engine.

As a reminder - if you go from 225mm to 240mm you will need a different (longer) clutch release bearing collar.

I have an ACT clutch http://www.advancedclutch.com/nx2-hdss which is very nice. "Light to moderate pedal effort" is a fat lie though.
I have a mildly lightened stock flywheel - it hasn't exploded yet.

I don't think there's anything wrong with lightening a stock flywheel, there's so much meat on them as standard.

Nothing wrong, just not a lot gained for the money. My car back in 1990 has a stock flywhel with 25% 'shaved' off - was fine.
