Been biting my tongue for weeks, but after probably one of the longest lurks ever, I bought jhepb's 240z, red RHD car from Devon.

This one

It's on a trailer winging its way up here, about 550miles north.

Jhepb has been a gent to deal with, hope this will be a long term partner for me.

Lusted after a 240z for I don't know how long, years of having no covered so e has put me off. Loads of salt / grit in rods where I live (edge of the ski roads).

Have garage now, owned this for 3 years, truly stunning car. It made me smile every time I drove it. Got to know it very well, too well, insanely competent car. Best upgrades were loads of driver tuition at Knockhill and plenty of track time learned mid engined handling. Had an e46 m3 and an e28 m535i prior, front engined RWD I am more in tune with. So takes me back to Z , again!

Glad, you will be renewing.

It''s good to hear that your driving tuition was so useful, sensible choice for such a capable car.

The winter rod prep used to be October to April when the council did things. Now it's run by bear Scotland, the running joke is the dat after it has snowed or been icy the gritters come out... typically a poor these days. That said, there has been a lot less of the white stuff in recent years.

Well done istoo ... lovely looking car - no idea why it hung around so long at that price.

Once it's up with you some nice pics of it would be good. Certainly got the roads up there to test it out.

Both cars look great, Its nice to hear someone values spending time and money on improving their own driving skills over just throwing money at the car!

I do envy you for some of the roads you have available on your door step, I did a road trip earlier this year covering 2200 miles in a week up to Durness and back and its incredible up there!

Get some more photos of the Z up when you get a chance I'm sure we'd all like to see more.

The increasingly popular NC500 is a route, it one known to for decades, if you want scenery and roads, yit should really be on your bucket list. Scotlands Route 66, it really is, and its also where i grew up... anyway. If anyone ever wants route amps, road trip, accommodation advice, just ask, always happy to encourage people explore.

Durness has a magic beach, good man :)

Called transport company, have to wait till Monday, will have gnawed my fingers to a stump if its any longer! Mild consolation is that they said it was a bonnie looking car.

I have been a knockhill regular for a good decade, chap called Willie Roberston used to race a Rebello engined 240z around there. If i didn't love them already then, i was sold on that noise. He passed away a few years ago, and i could never trace the car.

Wittering is real, awesome have to go there... 'Lost' is about 20 miles form where i live, and yes it has sign posts. My favourite as a kid was where my best mate stayed, it was call 'Bottocks' we spent an evening dodging what little traffic there was with white paint to mask out the horizontal parts of the 't'...

anyway, hello, i am an idiot, i hope i fit in :)

Willie's rebello car was sold to a friend of his after he died and has been raced a few more times.

It's funny you should mention it as I picked up a 2015 copy of Banzai when I was at the Barbers and the feature was his 240z!

The car has raced a few times, south of the Border too. Last weekend it finished 3rd in a race at Croft - Bruce Weir driving. 'Our own' Dean Halsey also did well and finished 5th is his recently finished 240Z.
