Car belongs to a good friend of mine who also shares a mechanics shop with me. He has owned the Z for about 15 years and did all of the work himself. The car was in primer at the time he got it from the second owner and they both know the first owner. All original sheet metal and no rust except for the rear tire well has a small bubble. This zed runs and drives beautifully as you would expect from a Zed mechanic. Owner races a BRE 240Zed in the vintage road race class and built this car for his wife to drive. Finances are forcing the sale and any reduction in price would require a reduction in rare parts that are currently installed. As you can see from the pictures, the paint is a older application with scratches, few cracks, and a ding or two. This is not a show car but a very nice around town driver that will get a lot of looks.

This car has many many rare vintage performance options installed that he has found over the many years of working on Z cars.

Looks like a cracking car Mike, I hope she finds a good home!

Albeit I imagine the idea of importing over to the UK will have become unrealistic for most at the minute with the exchange rate being what it is... :(

Just out of interest, whats that downward facing spigot for, on the rear of the air filter case?

I talked to Gary today, the owner of the Zed for sale here.

The car was originally silver from the factory. The first owner painted the car red sometime in the 80's. The second owner put the car back in primer and then Gary purchased it. Gary repainted the car back to silver and by his own admission he could have done a better job 15 years ago when it was sprayed.

I did not see the car today but next time I will get some pics of the paint in places that have not been touched and see what color I come up with.
