I'll try and post a pic of mine in its current state tomorrow, feeling a bit left out as a lot have put pics up of what they've done.

Polished the wheels and went for a drive to the pictures and Tesco. And arranged to install rear Tokico cartridges tomorrow.

Rob, Steve or any other moderator... any chance you could change the title of the thread to :
"What did you do to your Z this week?"?
No need to exclude all the other Zs. Sorry other Zs.

who had your standard car rob?:(

A really decent young guy who has good connections and is going to make the car A1. He is not going to modify it. He contacted me about buying such a car at least 9 months ago.

Hauled the Z up to Abingdon for a sprint on the 2 mile circuit. Watched my daughters drive it with a mixture of pride and jealousy. Then hauled it home again. I did put it on the trailer and back into the garage so did drive it sort of

Diagnosed a misfire on the silver car which turned out to be the suppressor attached to the coil.

Replaced the fuel line on the blue car as the gearbox is out. I used a bigger braided nylon line with AN fittings both ends to connect straight to the pump outlet and fuel rail. Should flow enough for the extra power I'm aiming for.

Took a trip to Texas to look for houses, ready for a move out of California. More house and more land to park Zeds.

Just as I arrived, 2 chaps called and said that the parts and car I had been talking to them about for months were ready for me to pick up...what timing. Anyway, I had my computer with me so the world wide web and technology helped me close the deal from a thousand miles away.

Parts delivered with the help of my dad and the car is to be retrieved today.

Great thread by the way.

I've just ordered leaner emulsion tubes (7772.5) and richer air correctors (145).
Should have them for the weekend.

Have you got a link Jon? I need some - I keep using rags lying around the garage and then kicking myself 'cos they're covered in glue or brake fluid or other stuff I don't want on the car.

Here you go,

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N9J79OA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_rx37ybD7DCE5X

Waterproof and magnetic and thick enough to prevent scratching etc.

Non-branded as they'll be used for all the different cars we have, and I'm not that bothered for something designed to get filthy!

That looks like a good set. I couldn't find any decent ones in the UK to be honest that were a reasonable price. My plan for these is to put a yoga mat underneath (don't tell the mrs) to give it a bit more cushion.
