What did you do to your Z this week?

On all the other forums I'm on, there's a thread like this where people post what they've done, and I like 'em - so thought I'd add it here.
has it been tried before?

To get the ball rolling....
I replaced my washer pump with a Trico 11601. Exact match, except it needs the electrical plug moved over from your old one.

Trial fitted front spoiler and wrap around lights, torqued all the front suspension bolts and marked them up with tipex and ordered some more titanium bolts for mounting the anti roll bar and cleaned up the steering column ignition cover

Looked at it a bit, looked at it some more. Moved some stuff that was sitting on the roof. Got the dust off the rear hatch. My recolouring kit did turn up though from Furniture Clinic so I took that into the garage and sat it in the spare space on the roof.

Apart from that, nothing. So tune in for more exciting updates in the future.

Finished off the back of the car, now starting on the front, trying to add some chassis rails to the car to make it look more original, then have to work out what I am going to do with the rest of the front.

Got the body shop guy coming out tonight to talk me through how he is going to fix the fender holes and blend the paint, then it's off to the body shop.

Bumper is off and ready to go to the chromers at the weekend - using the place in hull that a couple on here have mentioned I think.

Took the car out of the garage and ran it up to temperature to check it over after its winter layup. Took it out for a spin to see if the break problem I had last year had meraculously cleared up over winter. To which the answer was nope. Dropped into a mates to get his opinion and in the end we kind of diagnosed a lazy servo, buggeration! Then took it to have its tracking done as I didn't have time to get it done last year. Drove it home and stuck it in the garage.

Today I reset the carb needles into their correct position after seeing a thread the other day. I had the suspicion mine might be incorrect and I was right. Reset the mixture screws and will just have to wait and see what happens there. Took the steering wheel off to realign after getting the tracking done and almost gave myself a bloody nose in the process. I then set about swapping the mirror lenses over in my door mirror. My old pair had a convex mirrors which I preferred over the flat mirrors in my new pair. Simple job really now all done.

Off out a bit later to borrow a servo from my mate and that involves taking it off his car lol.

That's about it so far this week.

What a great idea for a thread.. Great to see what everyone's up to.

This week I've had a crash course on carbs and tuning. Completely dismantled carbs and put them back together several times, till I got it right!.. Adjusted valves, checked timing, tuned carbs and changed coolant and then out for a country drive with my wife on Sunday to the pub.

Pic is part way through, throttle spindle came out and inspected, in pretty good shape. Car running nicely and pretty chuffed with results.

Today I finished cleaning up the engine bay. Very pleased with the outcome.

My wife drove the car for the first time Sunday. We were planning on getting a Datsun Roadster for her, but there may well be another Z joining the family soon, she loved it.. TBH I was glad when we hit a 30MPH limit.. She's crazy!.. And I have the incar video to prove it.. will try and post it at some point..

Nothing so far this week as the new daily is the centre of my attention (EP3 Civic Type R in excellent, unmolested condition), but last week finally fitted the S14a gearbox (with short shifter) and swapped the centre console to the correct one for an early 71 car.

Such an improvement! Should've got around to it before now considering how long I've had the bits!

Plus, new daily...
