Thanks for organising JK, it was great to see so many Z's together on display

Really nice to finally be able to put some faces to names and meet the people behind the cars. There's certainly some really nice cars out there in the club and its great to see they're being driven as intended.

Its safe to say I've left with far more knowledge than previously was the case! Was good fun to socialise with those that stayed at Cedars albeit I'm afraid beer and tiredness got the better of me far too early. Hopefully next time I'll be better rested before I start.

I've got a few pics of the weekend which I'll try and put up however don't forget to share them on the calendar entries thread (linked below). It would be fantastic if people could email me their favourites so that I can keep building the collection.

My first time at Donny and they were a fab couple of days. Donna & I really enjoyed it.

Many thanks to JK for organising:bow: & apologies that I didn't get chance to say that in person before we had to leave. The turnout was great - I think the Missus counted 28 Zeds on Saturday and a few different ones on Sunday although not as many - which was second only to the Porker club next door in terms of numbers (showing off with their circus tent and bar:p).

Great to finally put some faces to names and talk to people. Some of the Zeds on show were stunning as some of the pics already posted show. The convoy of 6 Zeds from the Cedars was fantastic especially the looks on some faces as we went past. Donna got them all on video which will be interesting to see.

Really glad we made it especially as it was panic stations the weekend before to get it ready. In the end the car didn't miss a beat although my ticker did a couple of times because of muppets on the motorway not watching what they are doing. It's nice to get the attention but not at the possibility of causing a pile-up!

Will post up our pics asap. Roll on JDM Day at Combe in June.

What a brilliant weekend.

Thank you JK for all your hard work. So nice to meet everyone and being a newbie to have felt so welcomed into the club. I couldn’t describe it better than to say ‘It was like meeting old friends’

The convoys were great fun, hearing all the different exhaust tones a real joy. I think Jake’s has to be Numero Uno. I look forward to seeing some videos/photo's Farmer.

Lovely to see the Sam’s and colours on Z’s I’d not seen in the flesh before. Woody’s car, one of the most photo’d of the weekend. I don’t think you met him Woody, there was a chap taking numerous photos of your car for the organisers, he had fallen in love with the colour. Hopefully we’ll see it in their promo pics.

Great banter, great cars, great hotel, great weather. The latter, not realising till too late that I have sunburn. We need a club hat for us ‘Going Baldies’!

The picture is at Watford Gap, no comments on my parking please.

A big thanks to JK for organising such a great meet up and to Tim for collecting me from MK station......eat your heart Lady Penelope, if I'm gonna be chauffeur driven it has to be in a Z :D

Convoy to and from Cedars was a highlight although my ears are still recovering from following Jake first time........ his is definitely the noisiest and largest as he likes to boast ( exhaust that is ). Didn't make same mistake following morning on way back to circuit, think Tim had the short straw that time.

Couldn't wish for a better mix of guys staying at Crossroads Motel ( aka the Cedars ) and refreshing to see the future of the Z is in good hands with enthusiastic young pups like Matt/ Mr.Tenno and Mark/Woody 928 taking up the mantle.

Mind you, they both need a bit of work on their drinking skills to keep up with the young at heart old timers at the bar as they were both tucked up in bed at an indecently early hour

A big thank you to everyone for making it such a successful weekend again, with over 30 cars attending over the weekend, wouldn't be much of an event without your support guys, The weather wasn't brilliant, allthough it's been worse and the access road is ridiculous, I will definitely be sending the organisers some feedback on that front, it really does need addressing.

It's great that there is a small social scene evolving too with the Crossroads crowd and the Castle Inn both great nights for the respective revellers

I have to thank my wife, Sara too, even though she's unlikely to see this post, I couldn't have done it without her help. She drove down with our support vehicle on Thursday from Kendal, dropped all the gear and then drove back home through some awful traffic on the M6 then came back yesterday to pick it all up. Superstar

Thanks to the club too for investing in the new shelter, looks brilliant. And cheers to Steve Kemp for helping pack it away with us yesterday afternoon.

I've already had a bit of interest from a Dutch Z owner with a couple of nice cars through Facebook wanting to be invited along next year, so we could have a bit of an international flavour added to the SG VI and if you guys all fancy doing it again next year with a few others we might even get to 40 cars before long.

Thanks again all, brilliant weekend over too soon.

Cheers,

JK

Should also say congratulations to Rob Crofton, 2016 member of the year and to his ongoing racing. Wishing you much success this year Rob.
Pictured here receiving his award from Pinky and Perky aka the Chuckle brothers!

+1 couldn't have said that better myself.

Always what you want to hear as the owner :D I didn't meet him unfortunately however I'm suspicious I saw the chap in question, thanks for sharing as its always nice to hear the positive feedback. Lets hope so that would be really cool if it turned up in the advertising

+1 albeit I'm going to have to continue to stick with my excuse that I'm recovering from my 2100 mile journey in Scotland last week  I'll have to make up for it next time, was great to meet everyone there though  I have slept for at least half of today in compensation.

Please pass on our thanks to your missus as well, its easy to forget all of the hard work that goes into organising these events in the back ground. Thanks again for sorting everything

Lets hope the event and club presence continues to grow, its got to be the biggest presence of early Z's in the UK. Would be great if we could get some of the newer models along as well, could really give the porkers a run for they money then!

I've just had a chance this afternoon to review all of my photos and edit the more interesting ones. I've done a bit of a highlights show, I'm by no means an expert however hopefully some people with appreciate some photos of their pride a joy.

I must make a point of taking photos of everyone's cars next time and get some photos of the people behind them next time as well

If anyone wants a copy of any of the photos then just drop me a PM.

Just to say thanks to all of you for the weekend. Really enjoyed it. Special thanks to JK , Mrs JK, and Junior Jk's for all the effort put in , especially in organising the weather to ensure no snow this year.
The stand was easily the most supported apart from the porkers, but as was said over the weekend they have a lot more cars to choose from! The evening activities were good too - right up to the point I saw the bar bill!
As for my car - 80 litres of fuel used for only 200 miles. Think that says more work needed.......
Looking forward to next year!

Some lovely cars there - almost wish I'd come (instead, I saw some sun in Macon with some old French cars!).
I have to ask - what's a Super Samuri G?
