Was that a typical day in your part of the world Richie??
That was what happens on a relatively nice weekend day in Alderley Edge. It's like a rolling supercar show. Having live around this part of Cheshire (the so-called "Golden Triangle") for nearly a decade, I got over being excited about seeing Ferraris and Lambos years ago! Although seeing a Veyron on the A34 bypass within two motorcycle outriders following it did raise an eyebrow.
I would somewhat agree with Rob - it is undoubtedly childish look-at-me behaviour, especially from the supercar brigade with their identi-kit Ferrari 458/488/Californias/etc. Just proving they have massive wallets and miniscule imagination/originality. But everyone else with anything remotely interesting tends to do it to massage our egos too! I've seen some very cool stuff rather than just the typical footballer/celeb/narcissist cars. E.g. various examples of 60s and 70s American muscle, including the odd GT500 Eleanor, lots of rare classics from all over.
My favourite car I saw locally last year was in Wilmslow, just pulling out of someone's gates - a black Ferrrari Daytona Spyder. Stunning.
The Z does, no doubt, elicit a bigger reaction than the supercars very often. People see new Ferraris/Lambos etc. every week. They may have never seen a Z before.
