Sean

It's on the way, see my thread re the new Paul Newman film in General Dicussion

( sorry would post link but since last update the iPad crashes when you try to post a hyper link, it happens on all sites, so not just a Z Club issue)

Yep - seen the ad but I don't mean history which only us anoraks'll really watch in detail - I mean a current series or major film - something like Tom Cruise and nobody mention Vanilla Sky or Top Gun (and not Jim Carey) - maybe Capricorn 1 sold a shedload of 280Zs.....certain recent-ish video games have certainly sold the idea of ZG arches....

Zeds feature as playable options in many games over recent years, something that has had an impact in terms of recognition with the younger generation. Being on TV or in the cinema isn't the be all and end all in the multimedia age...

yup... "replace the tired 2.6"... a bit of model confusion going on there!

Bit surprised they didn't just swap in an L28 as well. But $1,700 for a ZX box? I've got three good spares in my garage - I'm rich!

Gotta be pleased with all the good comments though - it can only help raise the profile of the S30 here too :)

And I think they enjoyed the test drive when it was all done (Nice to see a car Edd can fit in as well!)

When I looked at the dash it had one of those covers on it - i.e. like a carpet.

The show was ok but it's so set up. The test drive was a joke - he left a packed show and got back to an empty car-park having toured the canyons!
I think they were at Cars & Coffee at Irvine, a gathering that only lasts until 9.00am ish. The idea is to get the use of the carpark before it fills up with "regular" customers. So, by the time Mike returned it would have been much quieter.
Go to Youtube for videos of these events. I now understand the Irvine meetings have stopped because of complaints and traffic problems. Google might give you some info on that.

Edd China has now left this show due to the fact that the American razzmatazz that now surrounds the show is now too far removed from the original concept. Good on him for sticking to his principles. The show was far better when he was working on some old beat up mini or golf than some yankee station wagon. Edd and Fuzz show anybody?

Fair play to him. I can't say I've watched many of the US-based shows - maybe a couple (the Z one of course). As he now says, it's too far removed from the normal hobbyist on a budget which, let's face it, most of us are.

I'm pretty sure Roadkill's Rotsun isn't doing us any favours:
