How Many 240z & 260z Are Left

240Zs were hardly ever seen for sale, now with the introduction of the www & Ebay you find 'lost' examples popping up for sale every so often in varying conditions.

Keep looking they are still out there...I personally was lucky enough to find a 'one owner' example through a fine art & antiques sale!

I've not seen an s30 on the road in the East of Norfolk and Suffolk ever. I know there is a 260 2 seater in someone's dads garage slowly going the way of all flesh but that's it. It is a very, very uncommon car nowadays. So if you have one, love it (not to the point of not using it because it's so much of a car to use) and show it off as often as possible because it's gone, there won't be any more.

My best guesstimate is a figure below 200. thats all 240Zs here in the UK. Taxed, sorned, and unregistered.

That sounds about right Pete, I was informed about 3 yr ago that there was 180 left in the uk, you & I have not broke many since then have we Pete ? :D + there are a few imports arriving here now & then.

The 240Z car I bought from ebay.. the blue one. Besides having lots of welding done in the past which is to be expected in a car of the 70's. Is quite standard as far as I can see. Its a genuine UK car. I dont think there can be many around. I have not seen one on the road in sheffield.. am I the only one in Sheffield? ..Am I alone.. Any Sheffield Z's out there?

I found more holes today.. no doubt I will find more later.

I am up at holmfirth just over hill with 240z samuri

mike in Kirkburton 240z just few miles from my house

then Steve with 260z chevy v8 just on edge Sheffield just into Doncaster he 35 in drive from me

They are certainly on the up and yes there's plenty in storage/barns that we don't know of. I was in the local car parts shop last week to buy a fuel pump for the 240. He didn't have one in stock but rung his mate who lives across the road, to see if he had a spare. He lives less than 2 miles from me and has a number of immaculate s30's that he hasn't used for years so they are out there. I did see if he was interested in selling but no joy there.

They've all been fiddled and tampered with - there isn't one completely standard in original condition 240Z in the British Isles and Ireland.

There however restored cars kept or put back into original condition of which I'd say there remain less than 10 'cos I can count 5 off the top of my head.

There many more over here for various reasons.

What category does mine fall into Sean. Must be one of your five. I bought HPE 109K about 12 years ago and other than putting in an original OEM radio it's still as good and 'original' as when l bought it,

Well, don't tell me those door mirrors were original  but you've probbaly got the 1x OEM part in a box along with the steel wheels and trims.

Steel wheels and the trims for sure. There are so many unopened boxes l have no idea what's in the garage, so possibly. Anyway, it must a top contender for a top UK registered zed.

I always remember when Lynne had a ding in the front of the bumper and she had what looked like a small Elastoplas covering it

Except that the Island of Ireland is not the UK....well, I guess it will stay say if the UK coughs up the £2bn handshake.:D

I was more looking for a comment on the car. After all, it is a genuine UK car and the oldest official UK spec Z remaining.

Aside from that, l just want to let the few people that might be interested know that Zep is alive and well on the Island of Ireland.

It has OEM radio's fitted now and works the electric aerial.

Chassis number is 971.

It was repaired/resprayed by the previous owner for wear & tear and the odd small accident.
